Sunsets Riverfront Bar and Restaurant: A Casual Dining Gem by the Water

This is our 2nd visit, and the food was delicious! We made reservations for a Saturday night group of 5. The hostess explained that they were short staffed and adked us to be patient. We appreciated the heads up. We ordered the Rum Bucket, Calamari, California Roll, Kani salad, and Loaded Potato skins for appetizers. For dinner, we had the Lobster Roll, the Bronzino, the Margarita Shrimp, the Jersey Ciopino, and the Salmon. The food was fresh and delicious. There was a live band, so it was difficult to have a conversation while they were playing, but the music was good. Our waitress was new and friendly. Great experience.

Had a really good time on the deck with some friends. We were able to bring our fresh catch tuna from Jersey Coast Charters (another 5/5 company) 25 feet away and have a sushi boat made for us which was fantastic for a very affordable price I easily would have paid more for. Alan even brought out a separate dish for us of some tuna bites. They had live music and the drinks were good.

The service was a little slow, but that was because the restaurant was also hosting two private parties at the same time we were dining, so it was understandable. I loved the Marina view, and we were indeed treated to a fabulous sunset while there. I got the broiled seafood combo, and I must say it was probably the best I've ever had due to an amazing array of herbs used in the butter sauce that added tremendous flavor, while not overpowering the delicious fresh seafood, itself! The prices were reasonably midrange also. I totally recommend Sunsets!

Outstanding view! Although the sunset may seem superior, the food takes the cake with all of the seafood. Great place for dinner!

The food was delicious and the appetizers. I had the crab and sushi and the waitress was polite and everyone was friendly. Even the other workers check in on our table and I was happy with my alcohol beverage. Nice to look at the boats, it was family friendly but I didn't see any flaws for my first time visit. I am proud of the owner with their management. It was pretty busy so I'm going to give it a 4 star rating I spilled my whole entire drink but it was closing time it was full but I couldn't get a new one which was pretty sad but overall good place I would recommend it to anyone.

Came here yesterday with my partner. We’re visiting the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area, and wanted to eat on Shem Creek. Sunsets was a perfect choice for us! Food and drinks were delicious, but I just had to go out of my way to comment on the service. Kaitlin, our server, was extremely helpful for us, as it was our first time dining here. She was welcoming and kind as soon as she greeted our table. She was very punctual and explained any and all questions we had about the menu. She was amazing, and we will be returning!!!

First time there this weekend . Our band played on the patio bar area. Great crowd, great staff, fun atmosphere. The burger was one of the best I have had in a while. Definitely a place to come back to and enjoy the seating outside.

Great food and drinks but what stood out was our wonderful server, Caitlin. She was just … amazing. Fast, efficient, friendly, smart and can relate to anyone. Human encyclopedia! Would come back just bc of Caitlin
